I was the Arty RTO, then the Arty RECON Sgt. The Arty FOs for Dakota Company while I was with them, were LT. Foote, LT. Willliams, LT. Welch. For a little while I wasn't in the field with D/5/12 another red leg by the name of Martin Scott II. took my place. Scotty died On Mar 05 1969 when the LCM D 5/12 was on, hit a command det mine on the canal they were going down not far from FSB Chris. It was a bad day for D 5/12. I came back into the field that day. And stayed with D 5/12 until I was short. That PRC 25 antenna sure does stick out. I was the RTO at the time this photo was taken. "Bogie" |
